Well, i decided to take a break from NLH, as that last game i properly had was enuf to send me over the edge lol...Ive been readin books on hold em, dan harringtons, mike caros etc, gna take a new approach to it at the start of next month, but at the moment, im just playing a bit of Pot limit/no limint omaha, and am actually starting to realy enjoy it, had a game before, went in with $25, soon got up to over $70, hitting a few good hands, will try and get the details up soon, but this is just a quick update atm...but wish me luck :D

Stars Bust..

Dont realy wna talk bowt this right now, so fuckin pissed off, cud smash skulls...but title explains itself..

Slowly Slowly...

Bin Playing a bit i spose, making a bit of profit here and there, have decided to try a new approach to my stars Bankroll, going to grizz it out and make a small profit day by day, then when i reach say $1000, il up the stakes on cash tables and then grizz it out on them, slowly making profit, however this way, i cant lose a large amount of my BR, which wud probobly make me go on tilt anyway, then busting it all.

I've managed to bring my bankroll up further (as u can see) from $215 - $330, within 3 days, which is not a bad increase, keeping at this pace for a few months would be a great achivement for me and wud change alot of things, i'll post a few hands up ive played soon, till then, wish me luck :D

Flopped Straight Flush..

Was having a quick game in a 50c/$1 table, went in with $60, made up to about $67 when i get A4h UTG, i call the raise, flop comes 235h, i had to check it a couple times to make sure, and to a pleasant suprise, i flopped the straight flush, i was just starting to think how i was going to play this, when the others decided for me, turns out one had an open ended straight draw and was betting big, i acted weak, and took a while to only call these bets, which only made him more agressive, he bet $15 on the turn, i simply called again, the river come, and he pushed all in, and i obvioulsy called instantly, to his dismay im sure.

I played a few small hands after that, but decided to cash in that profit, picture link below:

More small profit...

Hit the cash tables recently, despite me saying i wouldn't, but it has brought me a small sucess, bought in for $40 on a $1/2 table, soon got up to over $100 with a few good hands, then fell abit, but stayed well above my buy in.

Have been playing normally 25c/50c cash tables within the last few days, this has prooved alot more profitable for me as i find the players alot less skilled and i can easily often double up my buy in. Still decided to not touch my betfair account, and realy want to work on my Stars one and i realy like the games here. Plus i want some merchandise using my fpp's LoL!

however i shall keep u updated if i get any big big wins/losses in the near future..

Small win

Joined a $4 buy in sng last night, with 180 entrants, the prizes wernt amazing, but i fancied a go. I got up the chips fast soon becoming close to chip leader of tourney, and certainly chip leader of my table, i managed to keep my stack high through most of the tourny, picking off fish, and people who were trying to bluff me when i had the nuts (dont you just love that).

A few hands i remember,

I had about 20k in chips, a short stacked player pushed pre-flop, and everyone else folded, and i decided to call, they turned over 99, to my amazement, and i had 1010, the flop came 9x9, which was such a shock. The very nexy hand after that, somebody pushed pre-flop again, with about $5k in there stack, once again, everyone around the table folded, so i called with 1010 (again). They turned over AKo, and hit an ace on the flop, no help for me, this made a big dent in my stack, but i decided to not let it phase me. I pushed on and kept managing to gain more and more chips, there was a point in the tourny where i went down from like 12k, to 1k, but soon making it back upto 18k, when i flopped the nut straight, and a few people pushed all-in with me insta calling...

I eventually made the money in a very good situation, it payed down to 18th place, and i was in the top 3 of the chip lead most the way of the final 18. The final table came, and i hit a very bad beat, i re-raised somebody pre-flop, and they insta re-raised me, i was thinking about coming over the top, but he had more chips than me, and i didnt want to rest my tourny life on this hand as its not prooved the best for me in the past, i decided to call. Flop came J64, not a great flop for me, but i decided to go on betting strong, trying to represent that i'd hit or had and overpair. I raised $3000, ( a very large amount of my stack after the pre-flop raising ) he instantly came over the top. It took so much courage to fold this as i was probobly pot commited by now, but i decided to let it go, he showed AJ, and i was so relieved to have folded, no matter how hard. However this left me short stacked on the final table, and i've never had so many sh*t hands in a row than when i was on this table lol. Hand after hand they were re-raising, and everytime i'd call, i'd never hit, never even had a high card to try and bluff with. I eventually decided to push with Qc7d, one person called with KQ, i was devastated, however the cards came KcAc3h the turn, Jc --- giving me the Royal flush draw, river 10d, not giving me the royal, but it kept me in the tournemant, and we both hit straights. This was a relief.

Finally i was not going anywhere with my hands, and i was well beyond having a short stack by now, i pushed with J7d, 1 called with KQd, and he had the higher flush even though i hit two pair, i finished in 6th position which wasn't a realy bad result, could've done better but we all have bad games. This won me $36 adding to my stars account.

Oh and before i go, i gotta say congrats to Portdeco for winning $3000 after a 9 hour session fighting off 2500+ entrants, managing to get 2nd place, and a hefty profit, seeing as it was only a $3 buy in, exellent result mate, keep up the good work =)

update..

well had a few games, so thought it was about time i updated..

First off, tonight, played in a $2.50 tourney in which 3000 peeps entered, not gonna go into detail, as that would take forever, lol, but i came 84th, winning me about $14, was gd fun, and shudda dun better, but lost a large amount of my stack to a silly call, and went on tilt thereafter..

Had a live game, with Bluescouse, Portdeco, hellboy and moz, didnt do that well, but the highlight of the game, was wen i came back from having just one 25 chip, (enough for ante), and coming back to have about 8500 chips, about equal chip lead, however it was shortlived when i ran into portdecos QQ, with K 10, not to worry though it was fun.

Been playing a bit on pokerstars, put just $20 in, and afta a day i managed to make it upto around $90, and just to mention thanks to ed (Bluescouse) who has been giving me a few pointers which have realy helped my play out..cheers mate =)

Been on tilt tonight a bit, and trying to recover what ive lost too much, making me lose more and more, eventually, i lost most my stars money, by stupid cash play, but il probs take a rest tomorrow so that i can get my head together, and play better maybe...

i still have a BR of $950 in betfair, although i might transfer it into stars, as ive only realy started to play on stars, and already prefer it, but il see how it goes

Biggest Win..

Well i aint posted in a while, mainly coz i forgot my login, but now i have remembered it, so thought it was time to make a post. Ive had a few ups and downs losing money here n there, but i have just finished a tournement in 1st position out of 34. It was a $1500 guaranteed tourney, in which the first prize was $600 (£300). Im over the moon i won it, mainly because it reassured that my different style of play ive been enforcing recently is working. The winning hand was AK vs his AQ, i pushed pre-flop as i had him well covered, and nothing came.

I also had a small live tourney, in which i came 2nd ( to ed ), but i believe i played very well. Heads up between me and ed lasted well over and hour in which im very proud.

Profit..

Well last nite, i made around £25 profit on PKR. After a HU game against moz, which didnt go too well when i ran into his AA. I lost about $20 to moz in that game, i had only put $25 into my account so i hate $5 left to play around with, i decided to go into a 10c/25c table, and see what i could make of it, there were around 4 others on the table all with around $20 in there stack. I started off slow, but soon made it upto around $15, i held here for a while before winning a $10 pot, making me upto $25. I soon after hit a massive pot as a player (who was on tilt) rebought for another $25 and went all in after the flop wen i had the nuts, i cant say how annoyed he was at this but there was alot of cursing.. :D, this made me upto $50 and i made another couple $ but decided to call it a night (at this time it was 5am).

just a small update, but better than nothing :D

Tonight..

Had a game tonight, bought in on Betfair for $40/£20, went straight into a 50c/$1 table, and played way too aggressive straight away without getting to know the players on the table, it wasnt long before i was down about $10 or so, i had a few good wins, but they were shortlived. I eventually lost the majority of my money with a bad hand, i held A,3, and one other held QQ, i hit trips on the flop, i bet 80c, he called, turn came 7, i bet $1.50, he called, river came Q, i pushed for $5.00 he called, to my dissapointment.

I then left that table and went to a lower stakes 10c/20c. I played here for about an hour. I started the table with $4.54, and within about 3 mins, i was upto $11, as i hit a good few poket pairs which turned to trips, and collected a few small pots. I then made my way upto $27 by hitting a house against a few players who pushed all in pre-flop, they pushed all in, i held A, 10, i called there bets, the flop came A, 3, 10, turn 7, river A. Bit of a lucky one for me (for once). I then hit a few bad beats, eventually dropping to about $7, i felt i was not going to last much longer, till i hit a house again, making my way upto $15. I held at this sum for about 10 mins, uptill a big hand came, a guy raised pre-flop to about 80c, i called with A,10. The flop came, 10c,9c,10d, abviously i hit trips, he bet $4 which made me think he had a flush draw, i decided to call, turn came 2s, he bet another $4, i called, the river came 5c, he pushed all in with about $5.70, at this point i was 90% sure he hit his flush, and that i had a lesser hand, i decided that i've already bet too much to go back, i called whilst cringing, but he turn over KJ of diamonds? i was like wtf, he bluffed all that way haha, to a pleasant suprise, i then won a few small hand thereafter this making my way up to eventually $41, making me up $1 haha. I decided to call it a night and try again tommorow.

I think i did quite well tonight coming back from a small $4.54 to $41, but from now on i think ill just not play aggressive so quickly, try to get to know the players, and try to work on them from that angle.
